We are absolutely delighted with the new addition to our fleet at our Exeter branch - if you see any of our vans while you’re out and about, please give us a wave or a quick toot of your horn!
January is usually a quiet month for weddings but this weekend Party Lights were asked to install a fairy light drape canopy in one of the function suites at the Grovefield House Hotel near Windsor for a wedding taking place there on Saturday.
Set in 7½ acres of private land, its secluded grounds offer a welcome retreat to all its guests. This attractive country house was once the home of famous brewers, the Fuller family, and provides the natural choice for anyone looking for an ideal, private venue to host their special day.
We would just like to say a big Thank You to all our readers. We have now had over 10,000 hits on our blog in the 12 months we’ve been writing it. We hope you have enjoyed what we’ve had to show you so far and that you continue to follow us as we present you with more of our stories and photos in the coming months.
We wrote a post at the end of last year about a job we’d done at the Alexander Pope Hotel in Twickenham. We installed fairy lights in the 12 trees at the front of the building, giving the Hotel a very festive appearance for the Christmas period. We are delighted to tell you that they were so pleased with the effect that they’ve decided to keep the lights in place for the next 12 months! If you’re driving along Cross Deep, you can’t fail to see them so go on, take a look, and then pop in to the bar to sample the Young’s award-winning draught and bottled beers! There is an impressive glass atrium and a decked area all at the front of the pub with views across to Radnor Gardens and the River Thames – a perfect place to while away a couple of hours, watching the world go by!
Following on from our previous post “Greek spirit in Central London” on 20th November 2012, featuring an 18th birthday celebration at the Hellenic Centre in Marylebone, the birthday girl has sent us through some photos of the event in full swing. All the guests thought the room looked amazing with Party Lights and we certainly have to agree!
Worplesdon Memorial Hall is a popular village hall near Guildford in Surrey. With its central position in the village, easy access from Guildford and adequate parking, the hall is an ideal venue for all kinds of social activities, public or private, including weddings.
Like most village halls, however, it can be a little bare without the added sparkle of Party Lights! We were therefore happy to provide our fairy light canopy, fairy lights for the Christmas tree and uplighters on 21st December for Sam Dowswell’s Christmas wedding there. We won’t have any photographs until the beginning of February, but we have had the following testimonial from the blushing bride – thank you Sam!
“Hi Kevin,
I am sorry this has taken me so long to do, my feet literally feel like they haven’t touched the ground since the wedding it has been crazy with Christmas and all! But I wanted to say a massive thank you for the lighting you put in at our wedding it was truly stunning and your super calm approach to installing it had a really lovely ripple effect on the rest of the family crew on the day before. So many people commented how beautiful the lights were and I think it really made it. Turning a slightly dingey village hall into the fairytale Christmas wedding venue. We won’t get our official pics until the beginning of Feb but I will send you a few with the lights in when we get them.”
